Provider and models
BestFoot currently sends AI requests from its server to the OpenAI API. Your browser does not connect directly to OpenAI. The exact OpenAI model may change as we improve quality, safety, reliability or cost. BestFoot records model and prompt-version details with some persisted outputs so their origin can be investigated.
BestFoot does not use your content to train its own AI model. OpenAI's published standard API controls state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models unless the account holder opts in, and that content in abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days. Provider settings and exceptions can affect those periods. See our privacy policy and data retention policy for how BestFoot handles information.
Review and control
BestFoot is designed around user review. CV imports remain drafts until you confirm them. Job requirements and achievement matches are editable. Generated CV statements retain links to the confirmed achievements used as evidence. Editor suggestions and chat changes are not applied unless you choose to apply them.
Automatic suggestions can run after you edit a CV block. The editor provides a control to pause them. Pausing suggestions does not remove suggestions already generated or prevent an AI request you explicitly start elsewhere.
Limitations and responsible use
AI can misunderstand source material, omit relevant facts, invent details, use unsuitable wording or reproduce biases in training data. Matching scores and rationales are drafting aids, not objective measurements of your suitability or predictions of recruitment outcomes.
Check names, dates, qualifications, metrics and every factual claim against your records. Do not add confidential third-party information unless you have permission to process it. BestFoot's AI output is not legal, financial, recruitment or other professional advice.
No automated employment decisions
BestFoot is a tool for job applicants. It does not screen candidates for employers, submit applications, communicate with recruiters, or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. You decide what information to save, which suggestions to accept and what to send to an employer.
